Job summary

Coverys Inc. seeks a detail-oriented payroll professional to manage all aspects of payroll processing for our client base. You will ensure accurate and timely updates, maintain records, and work closely with HR and accounting to ensure statutory compliance.

The role involves handling garnishments, tax issues, audits, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations, with opportunities to participate in special projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing for employees (union and non-union), including but not limited to wages, deductions, sick pay, vacation time, and accruals.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reconciliations.
• Work closely with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Handle payroll tax, garnishments, union and non-union issues, and other payroll-related activities.
• Participate in special projects as required.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of payroll procedures and regulations, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
