Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with industry leading compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an expanding set of cloud-based services.

As part of this effort, the Object Storage Service team is looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion for solving difficult problems in distributed systems, large-scale storage, and highly available services. Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Proven experience in Java or C++.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel, Ethernet/IP/TCP/HTTP protocols.
• Strong understanding of system performance and hardware acceleration.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with databases, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience building multi-tenant infrastructure is a strong plus.
