Position Overview:

The Consultant - PowerBI will be responsible for collaborating with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions using PowerBI to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PowerBI report development and modeling.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ability to gather business requirements from clients and turn them into actionable projects; designing and leading projects and client communications from start to finish.
• Design and create interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, and Power BI Report Builder.
• Connect and integrate data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, cloud services, and APIs.
• Clean and transform data through SQL, DAX, and M queries as well as the Query Editor to ensure data is suitable for reporting and analysis.
• Design complex data models to show hidden relationships in disparate data sources.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
• Optimize Power BI reports and queries for performance and responsiveness.
• Implement security measures such as Row Level Security to ensure data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Create and maintain documentation for data models, report specifications, and best practices.
• Provide training and support to end-users to enable them to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Use version control in Power BI with GitLab.

Good to Have:

• Should have a general understanding of other Power Platform applications and how they can be used in conjunction with Power BI to capture and disseminate data from end users.
• Strong statistical and mathematics skills.
• Previous consulting experience preferred.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience.
• Good written and oral English skills.
• Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of progressing experience in data analysis roles.
• 4+ years of experience with Power BI.
• Exceptional communication skills and strong business acumen.
• Must be able to multitask and manage multiple projects at the same time.
