• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Import or synchronize general ledger data.
• Process accounts payable, including Bill.com integration.
• Post payroll journal entries.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Prepare and review depreciation schedules.
• Assist with monthly and year-end trial balance closings.
• Support the preparation and review of monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Deliver virtual and on-site outsourced accounting services.
• Participate in software application implementation projects.
• Facilitate training and development for associates and colleagues.

What You Will Do

Provide Exceptional Client Service and Coordinate Work in the Following Areas:

• Import or synchronize general ledger data


• Process accounts payable, including Bill.com integration


• Post payroll journal entries

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field


• 1+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or organizational accounting operations, including accounting system workflows, financial statement preparation, and supervision of accounting, payroll, and sales tax functions


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation


• Prior experience with CaseWare, Fixed Assets CS, and Bill.com


• Experience working with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Intacct, or similar general ledger software package

Virginia Wage Transparency

• Pursuant to Virginia's Equal Pay Law, the salary range displayed is for the Virginia market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
