RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently write, edit, and manage scientific and medical publications (eg, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations) with high quality and scientific accuracy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external collaborators on data description, presentation, and analysis
• Ensure appropriate documentation and compliance with regulations, requirements, policies, and guidelines that govern industry-sponsored and supported publications
• Ability to quickly develop expert knowledge of product- and disease-specific literature
• Conduct literature and gap analyses to support scientific message development and publications
• Communicate effectively with internal team members and external collaborators on project status and to keep projects moving efficiently towards deadlines
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) in a scientific or health-related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical/scientific publications within a pharmaceutical company or related environment (e.g., medical communications agency)
• In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices governing company-sponsored and supported publications
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt strategies to achieve goals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while ensuring compliance
• Demonstrated excellence in scientific writing, editing, and peer review within the pharmaceutical or related field
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration across all organizational levels
• Self-motivated, proactive, analytical, and innovative in approach
• Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) preferred
