Marsh Agency seeks a Consultant Employee Health and Benefits to partner with clients, deliver exceptional service, and provide employee benefits expertise to navigate insurance options within long-term strategy. Collaborate with sales teams and carrier partners to grow client and team success.

The role includes delivering benefit plans, managing RFPs, and ensuring compliance knowledge across HIPAA, ACA, and related regulations.

• Manage RFPs, renewals and implementation processes.
• Coordinate, develop, and execute project plans and presentations for client groups.

The Consultant at Marsh Agency works closely with clients to deliver exceptional customer service. The Consultant provides employee benefits expertise to help clients understand how insurance solutions can enable them to achieve their long-term strategies. In this role, the Consultant collaborates with sales professionals and insurance carrier partners to grow the success of the team and the client.

A day in the life.

• Apply working knowledge of employee benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HRA, HSA, COBRA as well as general HR questions
• Develop and manage long and short range benefit strategies for clients, and foster strong client relationships; may require local travel to client site
• Serve as a subject matter expert to clients in areas of Health & Welfare compliance (i.e. HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, 5500, ACA, DOL, etc.)
• Manage the RFP process for new & prospective clients as well as the renewal and implementation processes
• Coordinate, develop, and execute project plans and presentations for specific client groups

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• Prior experience in brokerage or insurance industry with a thorough understanding of health plans, funding alternatives and the ability to think through non-traditional solutions
• Knowledge of various lines of insurance coverage; medical, dental, life, STD, LTD, design, rate structures, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to present to a range of professionals at each client
• Proficient in Health & Welfare compliance (i.e. HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, 5500, ACA, DOL, etc.)
• Life & Health Licensure or commitment to achieving within 6 months of start date
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of internal staff & management, external clients, prospects and vendors

The applicable base salary range for this role is $64,700 to $120,400.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
