Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Backend Developer to join our collaborative teams and help build innovative customer experiences. You will write clean, high-quality Java and Kotlin code, apply TDD and design patterns, and contribute to scalable services in a cloud environment.

You will work in cross-functional squads, embrace Agile and Continuous Delivery, use Docker and Kubernetes, and continuously improve code quality as we deliver value to clients.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of backend development experience.
• Experience in Java and Kotlin with an OOP foundation.
• Ability to write clean, high-quality code and spot bad code.
• Familiarity with Agile, Lean and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes.

Requirements

• You have two or more years* of experience.


• You have experience in backend development using Java and Kotlin, with a strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming.


• You can write clean, high-quality code in a variety of languages and are also able to spot (and improve) bad code.


• You are familiar with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery.


• You have a good awareness of TDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery approaches/tools.


• You have knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes.
