Qualifications

The Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to state and local education agency partners, applying a consultative approach to understand client priorities, assess complex challenges, and develop strategic solutions that improve educational outcomes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to provide expert guidance, facilitate problem-solving, and support the development and execution of state and local initiatives that advance teaching and learning across Maryland. In addition, the Consultant will focus on growth and retention, ensuring that client relationships are nurtured and maintained for long-term success. The Consultant will partner with regional leadership and support state education agencies and school district clients in their efforts related to special education, strategic planning, data management and use. While a remote role, it is expected that the successful candidate will reside in Maryland and be able to travel as needed to meet with and support PCG teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leads account and client management efforts by cultivating relationships, aligning solutions with client objectives, driving client retention, and advancing opportunities for continued partnership and growth. Demonstrates strong project management skills, effectively leading multiple client engagements, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and deliverables, and ensuring successful project outcomes that align with client goals. Develops and maintains a statewide growth strategy for Maryland, aligning client needs, market opportunities, and organizational priorities to expand PCG’s presence, strengthen partnerships, and increase impact across the education sector. Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from project leadership, colleagues, and clients.
  • Actively recognize areas for improvement, as well as promote and execute collaborative solutions.

Required Experience
  • Must be based in Maryland.
  • Bachelor's degree required, master’s degree a plus.
  • 4 + years of related experience in education, healthcare, or consulting.
Working Conditions
  • Remote Office Setting.
  • Must be based in Maryland.
  • Up to 50% travel required.
