City of Albuquerque is seeking a skilled trades worker for construction, maintenance and remodeling of City facilities and parks. You will perform carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, basic electrical, fencing and sheetrock tasks across multiple sites.
Responsibilities include following blueprints, installing doors and windows, and completing interior renovations with attention to safety and quality standards.

Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours of specialized training in construction, carpentry, plumbing, or welding; and Two (2) years general construction experience.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
Field and construction site environment; travel from site to site; work around traffic and construction equipment; exposure to fumes, dust, noise and inclement weather conditions.
Essential and supplemental functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, walking, crouching, bending, and climbing for prolonged periods of time; moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; operating motorized vehicles and equipment.
