The National Association of Women in Construction is seeking an entry-level position in Athens, Georgia. This role focuses on supporting skilled tradesmen in construction activities, including assisting with concrete placement and performing traffic control.

This is an entry‑level position whose main emphasis is to support and assist skilled tradesmen in day‑to‑day construction activities. The work is supervised by a foreman and, to a lesser degree, by the skilled workers being assisted. Responsibilities include helping to form and place concrete, potholing utilities, serving as a spotter during excavation, assisting in backfill, grading, asphalt placement and other job‑site activities. The role also involves maintaining barricades, signage, and performing traffic control, using hand tools and small machinery such as cutoff saws, jackhammers, tamps and drills. Additional duties include reporting during inclement weather for downed tree removal, snow and ice removal, and any other tasks as needed.
