Job summary

Insight Global is hiring a Construction Laborer to support a large-scale roadway and civil project at Anniston Army Depot in AL. The role will aid heavy equipment operators and field crews with earthwork, grading, drainage, and utility installation, with emphasis on dirt work and trenching.

On-site only, 5, 8–10 hour shifts daily. Prior dirt work or heavy civil experience is highly preferred, and adherence to safety protocols is required for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in dirt work, trenching, grading, or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to follow directions and work with field crews.
• Comfort on active construction sites and around heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor in excavation, grading, and site development.
• Assist with dirt work, trenching, backfilling and compaction.
• Install erosion controls and drainage measures as directed.
• Support utility and culvert installation activities.
• Use hand and power tools to assist crews and ensure safety.
• Help keep the site clean, organized, and stocked for daily tasks.
• Maintain haul roads, work zones, and staging areas per plan.
• Follow grade stakes and supervisor instructions; work safely around equipment.
• Assist with traffic control and site safety requirements as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA, USACE, and company safety standards.

Insight Global is hiring a Construction Laborer to support a large-scale roadway and civil construction project at Anniston Army Depot in AL. This role will assist heavy equipment operators and field crews with earthwork, excavation, grading, drainage, utility installation, and roadway construction activities. Experience with dirt work, trenching, grading, or heavy civil construction is highly preferred. This is a fully on-site opportunity requiring 5, 8–10-hour shifts daily.

Day to day responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties in support of excavation, grading, roadway, and site development operations
• Assist crews with dirt work, trenching, backfilling, and compaction activities
• Install and maintain erosion control measures, silt fence, and site protection systems
• Assist with storm drainage, utility, and culvert installation
• Use hand tools and power tools to support construction activities
• Perform site cleanup, material handling, and project preparation tasks
• Help maintain haul roads, work zones, and staging areas
• Follow grade stakes, survey markings, and instructions from supervisors and equipment operators
• Work safely around excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, rollers, and haul trucks
• Support traffic control and site safety efforts as required
• Follow all OSHA, USACE, and company safety requirements
