Job summary

Exigent in Lima, Ohio, seeks a Construction Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations supporting HVAC, plumbing, piping and mechanical construction projects. You will manage tool tracking, deliveries, inventory control, and safety compliance to keep field crews supplied on time and within budget.

You will supervise warehouse staff, coordinate with the Material Expeditor and Project Managers, operate forklifts when needed, and ensure facilities are clean and secure while maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of warehouse management experience.
• Experience in mechanical contracting, construction, HVAC, plumbing, or industrial supply distribution.
• Experience with purchasing and inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

CONSTRUCTION WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse operations supporting our commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, piping, BAS and mechanical construction projects. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for tool tracking, fleet coordination, shipping & receiving, material & tool deliveries, supervising warehouse personnel, oversight of inventory control and material management, and maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring field personnel have the materials, tools, and equipment needed to execute projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Supervise warehouse personnel and delivery drivers.
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure warehouse facilities.
• Develop and enforce warehouse procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.

Logistics & Fleet Coordination

• Schedule deliveries to jobsites.
• Coordinate loading and unloading of company vehicles.
• Assist with fleet maintenance scheduling.
• Optimize warehouse and delivery operations for efficiency.

Tool & Equipment Management

• Track and maintain company-owned tools and equipment.
• Coordinate tool issuance and returns for field personnel.
• Schedule maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment.
• Monitor equipment utilization and replacement needs.

Purchasing Support

• Supervise the Material Expeditor to ensure timely procurement of materials requested by Operations.
• Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders.
• Monitor material orders, shipments, and deliveries to ensure timely receipt.

Inventory & Material Management

• Coordinate material deliveries to job sites
• Oversight of inventory levels of construction materials, HVAC equipment, piping, fittings, valves, sheet metal, consumables, and supplies.
• Work with Material Expeditor and Project Managers to coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of project materials.

Facilities and Grounds Maintenance

• Coordinate and oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance of company buildings and grounds.
• Perform or arrange for routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate third-party contractors for facility repairs and maintenance services.
• Monitor building systems and report maintenance issues.
• Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal grounds maintenance activities.
• Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, organized, and professional manner.
• Support company initiatives related to workplace safety and facility improvements.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5-7 years of warehouse management experience.

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
