Job summary

Boh Bros. Construction Co., L.L.C. seeks an experienced civil utility construction worker in the greater New Orleans area. You will observe safety protocols, maintain a drug-free stance, and rely on consistent transportation to job sites.

Most sites are located in and around New Orleans; you will work as part of a crew with fellow craft workers, performing duties from digging to material handling and site setup.

Qualifications

• At least two years of civil utility or construction field experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and heights/depths.
• Must be able to understand simple directions.

Responsibilities

• Shoveling dirt and preparing utility pipe for crew.
• Cutting and hauling materials; laying out job materials per plan.
• End-of-shift cleanup and site housekeeping; ensure safety protocols are followed.

Job Summary

Opportunity available for an experienced civil utility construction worker. This individual must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocols and be drug-free. Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from job sites assigned. Most job sites located in and around the greater New Orleans area.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Shoveling dirt
• Preparing utility pipe for crew
• Cutting materials
• Hauling materials
• Hand grading
• Checking line and grade
• Housekeeping at job site
• Checking safety protocol
• Laying out job materials according to plan
• Beginning of shift set-up and end of shift clean-up
• Must be able to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in civil utility construction activities.

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions (cold, heat, humidity) and frequently at heights/depths at various job sites and locations assigned.
• Experience with a wheelbarrow, plate compactor, pressure washers, weed whackers, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic hand tools (i.e. jackhammers, impact wrenches, etc.) and other small pieces of equipment preferred.
• At least two (2) years of experience in the civil utility or construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to understand simple directions preferred.
• Ability to acquire a TWIC card is preferred but not required.
