Job summary

A leading construction company in New Orleans is seeking an experienced construction worker. Responsibilities include shoveling, cutting, and hauling materials, as well as ensuring safety protocols are observed at job sites. Candidates must have a valid US driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass high-security background checks. This position requires working outdoors in extreme conditions. The company offers union wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Eligible for high-security background checks for badge access.
• Previous experience in road or construction field is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• TWIC preferred.
• Ability to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Shoveling concrete and dirt, preparing utility pipe.
• Cutting and hauling materials, hand grading.
• Checking safety protocol and maintaining job site cleanliness.
• Setting up at the beginning and cleaning up at the end of the shift.
• Working outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Operate wheelbarrow, plate compactor, pressure washer, weed whacker, hand tools, pneumatic tools (jackhammers, impact wrenches, etc.).

Job Summary

Opportunity for experienced construction worker. Must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocols, be drug‑free, have reliable transportation, and be eligible for high‑security background checks for badge access to various locations. Most job sites are in and around Greater New Orleans.

Responsibilities

• Shoveling concrete and dirt, preparing utility pipe for crew
• Cutting materials, hauling materials, hand grading, checking string lines
• Housekeeping at job site, checking safety protocol, laying out job materials according to plan
• Beginning‑of‑shift set‑up and end‑of‑shift clean‑up
• Work outdoors in extreme conditions (cold, heat, humidity) and at heights
• Operate wheelbarrow, plate compactor, pressure washer, weed whacker, hand tools, pneumatic tools (jackhammers, impact wrenches, etc.)

Qualifications

• Valid US driver’s license
• Ability to pass high‑security background checks for badge access to airports, plants, and military bases
• Previous experience in road or construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions, and ability to understand simple directions
• Current TWIC preferred
• Ability to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities

Benefits

Boh Bros. is a union contractor. All wages and benefits are determined by the union agreement. All new hires will be paid 90% of the journeyman scale for the first 300 hours of employment.
