Job summary

Jackson County Intermediate School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant-Construction Trade to support instructors and student crews in a hands-on program. The role involves aiding classroom, clinical and lab instruction, supervising groups, and maintaining safety and equipment per industry standards.

The position requires a high school diploma and至少 2 years (4000 hours) of construction experience, with preference for those holding an associate degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; 2 years (4,000 hours) of recent and relevant paid work in construction within last ten years required.
• Evidence must be included with the application.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Preference for applicants with general construction supervision experience and work with youth.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering classroom, clinical and laboratory instruction under supervision.
• Reinforce instructor's instruction and support students individually or in groups.
• Prepare instructional materials and oversee equipment and supplies.
• Record grades and attendance in official records.
• Maintain tools, equipment, labs and clinic to industry standards.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards to instructor/administration.
• Assist with program curriculum and inventory management as directed by the instructor.
