Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate in Construction trades or building trades is required.
• Five years teaching experience in higher education or equivalent.
• Five to ten years of professional experience in a related industry field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with Native American students and communities.
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Teach Construction Trades courses per SGU contract.
• Develop and submit course schedules for each semester.
• Prepare and submit program budgets with Department Chair/Director.
• Maintain professional communication with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
• Collaborate with department to support goals and outcomes.
• Maintain student degree plan records with the Department Chair/Director.
• Attend required professional development, meetings, and trainings.
• Assist with registration, advising, and student support activities.
• Serve on committees and participate in campus initiatives.
• Maintain office hours per contract and SGU policies.
