Job summary

RDO Equipment Co. in Utah seeks a Construction Technology Specialist Level 2 to help customers adopt and optimize GPS, machine control, and other construction technology solutions. You will provide technical support, training, troubleshooting, and onsite service.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in construction, technology, equipment, or related field (3–5 years).
• Strong technical aptitude to learn, troubleshoot, and support GPS, machine control and other construction tech solutions.
• Excellent customer focus with ability to build relationships and resolve issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for training and collaboration.
• Willingness to travel 35–50% based on seasonal demand.
• Valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology expertise including troubleshooting, demonstrations, and training on GPS, machine control, laser and other construction tech solutions.
• Install, diagnose, repair, and support construction tech products in the field to maximize customer productivity.
• Build strong customer partnerships through proactive follow-up and timely issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities to grow construction tech, service, repair, and aftermarket business.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to coach and train technicians and team members across the region.

What You Will Do:

• Technology expertise: Serve as a trusted resource for customers and team members by providing troubleshooting, technical support, demonstrations, and training on GPS, machine control, laser, and other construction technology solutions.
• Field service and support: Install, diagnose, repair, and support construction technology products in the field to maximize customer productivity and uptime.
• Customer relationships: Build strong customer partnerships through proactive follow-up, responsive support, and timely resolution of issues.
• Business development: Identify opportunities to grow construction technology, service, repair, and aftermarket business while helping customers adopt technology solutions that improve performance.
• Training and collaboration: Partner with sales and service teams to support customer success while providing technical coaching and training to technicians and team members across the region.

What You Will Need:

• Industry experience: 3-5 years of experience in the construction, technology, equipment, or related industry, with exposure to sales, service, training, or customer support activities.
• Technical aptitude: The ability to learn, troubleshoot, and support GPS, machine control, construction technology, and other advanced technology solutions.
• Customer focus: Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships, resolve issues, and deliver a positive customer experience.
• Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively train, support, and collaborate with customers and team members.
• Travel flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel 35-50% based on seasonal business demands.
• Valid work authorization: Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
