Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of construction technology principles, practices, tools, materials, and safety standards relevant to modern construction trades.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain NCCER certifications as needed by the program or college.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with industry partners and workforce agencies to support student learning and job placement.
• Commitment to student-centered teaching adaptable to diverse student populations and backgrounds.
• Willingness to work with KDOC and EDCF requirements and to participate in committees and accreditation processes.
• Proficiency with CANVAS and common office software for instruction and records.

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of 30 credit hours per year in Construction Technology and related disciplines at the El Dorado Correctional Facility (EDCF).
• Incorporate current industry standards into pedagogy; assess student learning outcomes.
• Engage with local business/industry partners, participate in program advisory committees, and pursue continuous improvement.
