Geo-Technology Associates Inc. in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Construction Technician to support field inspections of stormwater plans. You will visit construction sites to perform SWPPP inspections and verify erosion and sediment control measures are installed and functioning.

Responsibilities include visiting construction sites to perform Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections to ensure erosion and sediment control elements are installed and functioning properly. A summary report, including photographs of deficient areas and systems, is required at the end of each inspection on the same date that the inspection was performed. Candidates may perform SWPPP (Storm water Pollution Protection Plan) inspections at various sites through Virginia. Successful candidates MUST have:

• High School diploma or equivalent

This position may require standing for extended durations as well as repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering and walking along difficult terrain. The employee must have the ability to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. The employee will regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds; and occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples).
