Responsibilities

• Performs measurements, computations, or other work in preparing final plans, change orders, and contractor payment estimates.
• Assists in inspection of bituminous and Portland cement concrete plants and/or grading, base, bituminous or concrete paving.
• Maintains records and prepares reports pertaining to inspections; keeps supervisor informed of activities or unusual conditions; ensures projects meet department standards.
• Enters and records information regarding construction projects into computer programs.

This position may be filled at one of the three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the Intermediate starting salary of $44,729.52, and a Senior starting salary of $48,621.60. Note for internal applicants: Successful candidates already at rates above the posted salary will be evaluated on an individual basis to determine final salary outcome.
