Job summary

Orkin is seeking motivated individuals in Des Plaines, IL with construction, roofing, or home improvement experience to join our team. Our award-winning paid training will equip you to succeed, even without pest control experience.

You’ll work with a crew to inspect and install pest protection systems, complete attic and crawlspace services, and perform light carpentry. Orkin offers medical benefits, PTO, tuition support, and a company vehicle with tools.

Qualifications

• Construction, roofing, HVAC, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
• Team player with a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily schedule.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, confined spaces, and on roofs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install pest and home protection systems.
• Working collaboratively on a crew of technicians to complete a job.
• Complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation
• Light carpentry work
• Communicate clearly with customers.
• Maintain company equipment and complete reports via handheld device.
