Farnsworth Group is seeking a Construction Technician/Engineer in one of the following locations. Qualified candidates could be full-time or part-time/seasonal and will perform construction engineering and management services in the Central Illinois region, working on road and bridge projects.

Posting Locations: Bloomington, Champaign, Peoria, Pontiac, IL

Job Activities:

• Visit construction sites to ensure quality control, adherence to plans and specifications, and compliance with local/state regulations.
• Review plans for constructability alongside engineers and project managers.
• Perform quality control reviews of design documents, including plans and specifications.
• Attend meetings with clients and project managers to exchange information.
• Monitor construction schedules to ensure timely project completion.
• Observe testing procedures and prepare reports.
• Document activities through written reports and communications.

Specific Requirements:

• 5-10 years or equivalent related experience.
• Associate's in Civil Engineering Technology or Bachelor's in Construction Management/Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with IDOT and/or ISHTA construction Phase 3 - CM is required.
• Experience with local agency and federally funded construction projects is preferred.
• Active IDOT Documentation Certification is desired.
• Other IDOT Construction Certifications are desirable.
• Strong knowledge of documentation requirements and inspection procedures.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
