Job summary

McGrath RentCorp in Portland, OR is seeking a Construction Technician (Finance) to support building preparation for customer sites. Responsibilities include installing structures, performing maintenance across trades, and remodeling modular buildings.

You will work Monday through Friday on a dayshift, with safety and lean initiatives emphasized. Prior construction experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction or related work.
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow spoken and written instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install structures or fixtures using hand or power tools per plan and code.
• Perform maintenance, repairs and construction in plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, ceiling and electrical areas.
• Construct/remodel modular buildings; demolish and rebuild walls and framing.
• Light electrical work: bulbs, wiring, switches and outlets.
• Light plumbing work: install/ remodel plumbing fixtures.
• General cleaning, scrubbing, and mopping of units.
• Shape materials to measurements per plans.
• Participate in 6S and Lean initiatives.
• Monday-Friday Dayshift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
