Mobile Modular Management Corporation - A Division of McGrath is seeking a Construction Technician Assistant (Finance) to support installation, maintenance and training on modular buildings at customer sites. The role involves teamwork with skilled service technicians to ensure safety, quality, and timely project delivery.

Candidates should have prior construction experience, the ability to operate tools, and a readiness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to safely perform all tasks and follow safety policies.
• Deliver a high quality output consistent with construction standards.
• Able to follow spoken and written instructions.
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions.
• Ability to use manual and power tools with guidelines.
• Prior experience in construction or related work required.
• Prior experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other specialties preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Spanish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced service technicians at customer sites installing and repairing modular buildings.
• Train customers on how to properly maintain the buildings.
• Run trial operations on HVAC systems to ensure performance meets specifications.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work in the field with a service technician.
• Maintain safety, quality and productivity at all locations.
• Ensure positive customer interactions and uphold company reputation.

"A Day in the Life"

As a Construction Service Assistant some of your duties include going to customer sites to assist experienced service technicians in installing and repairing modular buildings and training customers on how to properly maintain the buildings. You will perform trial runs of any machinery (HVAC systems) to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications. Deliver exceptional customer experiences.

"What You'll Do"

• Performs troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical in the field; generally in the company of a service technician
• Alongside a qualified service technician, performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
• Responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of themselves at all customer locations
• Responsible for positive interface with the customer and ensuring the company's reputation is improved with every customer contact
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company's safety policies and procedures
• Deliver a high quality output consistent with the Company's construction standards
• Able to follow spoken and written instructions
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
• Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
• Prior experience in construction or related work required
• Prior experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other specialties preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to communicate with Customer's regarding work status and service concerns; fluency in spoken Spanish is a plus

Special Considerations:

• Local travel daily and occasional overnight stays
• May be required to travel extended distances to customer sites
• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
  • Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities
