Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for our Fort Worth team. No experience is necessary as you will learn under experienced professionals and receive paid training, with certification fees covered.

You will conduct field testing and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete, follow industry standards, and communicate findings to project managers. This role offers growth through on-the-job training and safety-first practices.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete on sites under guidance.
• Perform routine field tests using standard methods and equipment.
• Collect and reduce data from tests; assist with calculations and documentation as needed.
• Maintain communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changes.
• Participate in training and certification opportunities as provided by ECS.

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Fort Worth team and advance in a dynamic work environment. No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials, including soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction materials testing project sites; Execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers.
• Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspection; May assist with calculations, drafting, and other administrative duties as requested.
• Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers; Communicate changing site conditions and additional requested testing to supervisor; Attend project meetings as requested; Assist with organization of field equipment and notify supervisor of broken or missing equipment as needed.
• Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; Document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
