Job summary

Mobile Modular Management Corporation is seeking a Construction Technician in Indiana to perform building preparation, remodeling, and maintenance for customer sites. You will handle fixtures, frames, and related tasks with hand and power tools, following plans and safety guidelines.

The role requires experience in construction, ability to work outdoors in variable weather, and the stamina to lift up to 50 pounds. Monday–Friday schedule and inclusion in a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction or related work.
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions.
• Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines.
• Ability to use mathematics to calculate dimensions and ensure specs.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install structures or fixtures per plan using hand or power tools.
• Perform maintenance, repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, electrical.
• Remodel modular buildings and construct walls/framing/drywall.
• Light electrical and plumbing work; wiring and fixtures.
• General cleaning and material cutting to plan measurements.
• Support Lean and 6S improvements in the workplace.
• Work Monday–Friday 6:00am-2:30pm.

A Day in the Life

As a Construction Technician, you will be responsible for general maintenance, cleaning, general construction, remodeling work and preparation of buildings for delivery to customer sites.

What You’ll Do

• Installation of structures or fixtures such as windows, doors, frames, floorings, trim or hardware using hand or power tools per plan, drawings and to current relevant building code
• Perform maintenance service, repairs and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, ceiling and electrical and other specialties
• Perform construction work related to remodeling or modifying modular buildings
• Demolish, replace or construct walls, including framing, drywall and other finish-out functions
• Light electrical work; changing bulbs, rewiring or adjusting wiring within a frame or wiring for new connections, switches and outlets
• Light plumbing work; removing, remodeling or installing new plumbing pipes and fixtures
• General cleaning, scrubbing, and mopping of units
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements as noted on building plans or reasonably implied
• Participate in and practice 6S and Lean company initiative in the workplace
• Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
• Performs other duties as assigned

Must Haves

• Prior experience in construction or related work required
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
• Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
• Ability to use mathematics to calculate length, width, depth, etc. as it relates to construction and accuracy of specs and requirements
• Ability to follow spoken and written instruction and work in fast paced construction environment with minimal guidance from leads or supervisors
• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures
• Deliver a high-quality output consistent with the Company’s construction standards
• Able to take, record and follow standard measurements and cut or separate materials to specific measurements or quantities
• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
• Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities

Nice to Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other specialties a plus
• Industrial warehouse experience with construction‑grade materials and equipment, preferred
