Job summary

Petro-Com Corporation is seeking experienced Construction Technicians to join our team in the Columbus, Ohio area. You will install, service, repair, and maintain petroleum equipment, delivering excellent customer service.

Starting wages will be based on experience, certifications, and accreditations. Must have a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and be mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn construction techniques.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined with willingness to learn construction techniques.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• BUSTR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction tasks including fuel equipment removal/installation, sump repairs, concrete work, excavation, canopy, lighting, etc.
• Operate machinery and vehicles (trucks, lift trucks, skid steers, backhoes, etc.) and perform equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with team to complete maintenance and repair tasks for petroleum project sites.
• Install and repair petroleum equipment including dispensers, tank monitors, fuel management systems, etc.

Job Description:

Petro-Com Corporation is looking for a Construction Technicians to provide excellent customer service in the installation, service, repair, and maintenance of all petroleum equipment. Our ideal candidate will be someone looking for a long-term opportunity, and the chance to grow within the organization. Starting wage for candidates with petroleum construction experience will be based on experience, certifications, and/or accreditations.

Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for construction tasks and projects including fuel equipment removal/installation, spill buckets, sump repairs, fuel motor removal/installation, concrete work/installation, excavation, canopy, lighting, etc.
• Operate machinery and vehicles including trucks, trailers, lift trucks, bob cats, skid steers, backhoes, light and heavy equipment such as: hand tools, hand power tools, pumps, vacuums, and generators etc.; provide maintenance as required for equipment
• Work alongside a team to complete general maintenance and repair support tasks for all petroleum project sites
• Assist to maintain and repair various types of petroleum equipment including dispensers, tank monitors, fuel management systems, etc.
• Install electronic and mechanical equipment for service stations, commercial fueling facilities and related work
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects
• Completion of work-related paperwork; time sheets, daily sheets, vehicle inspection, equipment inspections; Promptly report time, travel, and parts used to the office for billing purposes
• Comply with OSHA safety standards and perform tasks safety, OSHA or Hazwoper certified a plus
• Remain actively engaged in supporting the Service Team during gaps in specific construction
