Job summary

Baker Construction in Houston, TX is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to source, screen, and recruit candidates for diverse construction roles. You will partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, conduct interviews, negotiate offers, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

The role requires collaborating across teams, managing the applicant tracker, and promoting the Baker brand while navigating travel/relocation needs as projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and eight years of experience, preferably in construction or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills and ability to recruit using social media and job boards.
• Knowledge of SuccessFactors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify staffing needs with regional and corporate management.
• Develop recruitment strategies and outreach programs to fill vacancies.
• Conduct pre-screening interviews and coordinate follow-up interviews.
• Draft offer letters and manage applicant communications.
• Oversee applicant tracking system documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate travel, relocation, and visa paperwork when needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
