Job summary

Mullins Mechanical is seeking a Construction Survey Manager (Trimble Connect) to coordinate layout and 3D scanning on plumbing and HVAC projects across construction sites. The role requires calibrating total stations, collecting survey data, and ensuring accuracy and productivity on site.

You will work with engineers and project managers to deliver precise measurements and timely reports, supporting a fast-growing specialty contractor in the industrial and heavy commercial sector.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Trimble / Total Station Operator.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and other project documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate layout, physical coordination, and 3D scanning points for plumbing and HVAC projects.
• Assemble and set up total station instrument with calibration and alignment.
• Operate total station to measure distances, angles, and elevations per project requirements.
• Collect survey data including horizontal/vertical measurements and coordinates.
• Maintain and troubleshoot total station instrument for accuracy and reliability.
• Check and verify survey data for errors during construction phase.
• Transfer and process survey data into software or databases for analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports with measurement logs and equipment maintenance records.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to coordinate construction activities.
