Position Title: Construction Surveillance Technician I

Location: Dayton, OH

Security Clearance Level: Interim Secret clearance to start, with ability to obtain up to TS/SCI with Counterintelligence polygraph.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Air Force (AF) Special Access Program (SAP) Security Support Services (SSS) team assists AF security authorities in overseeing security objectives for AF SAP interests through active security operations, processes, and management. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, identifying, and recommending improvements to policies, procedures, or systems.
• Identifying threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
• Managing escort personnel, maintaining logs, training, briefing security duties, and reporting incidents.
• Enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Providing administrative support as directed.
• Inspecting materials delivered for secure spaces.
• Photographing and monitoring construction of secure spaces to support accreditation.

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years of related experience, or 5-6 years of experience without a degree.
• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
• Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
• Experience with ICD 705 and compliance with physical and technical security requirements is preferred.
• Completion of safety training such as OSHA 10, Fall Protection, or Confined Space within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course within 30 days of hire.
