Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in Dayton, OH is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) II to support SCIF & SAP construction efforts. You will help ensure security during day-to-day activities and contribute to the accreditation process.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with willingness for polygraph, 3+ years of related experience, SAP experience, and ICD 705 knowledge. Bachelor's degree preferred; travel 10-25%, onsite work, and comprehensive security training.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
• Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
• Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
• Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
• Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
• Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
• Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight of team members.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experience:

• 3+ years related experience.
• Knowledgeable on ICD 705 (SCIF compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements) desired.
• SAP experience required.

Education:

Bachelor’s d egree is desired and counts towards 4 years of experience. Associates degree counts towards 2 years of experience.

Experience Education Equivalencies:

• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
• Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
• Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.

Certification:

• Complete the DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training

Security Clearance:

• TS/SCI
• Willingness to sit for a CI polygraph

Other Requirements

• Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
• Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.

The likely salary range for this position is $64,230 - $84,640. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
