Job summary

SCIS seeks a Construction Surveillance Technician (Commercial) to monitor construction sites and prevent the introduction of surveillance devices. The CST will screen materials and equipment destined for controlled areas using X-ray and approved inspection methods, read blueprints, and analyze designs for unauthorized uses.

Detailed English reporting and daily logs are required. You will perform duties at a high-profile client site, with emphasis on safety, security, and adherence to ICD 705

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Two (2) years of experience as a CST for U.S. Government construction security projects.
• Completion of a U.S. Government-approved CST training course.
• Served on previous construction projects (preferred).
• Must meet company background/reference checks and mandatory licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, observe, and interact with construction workers to preclude hostile surveillance devices.
• Screen equipment, materials, and furnishings destined for controlled areas using X-ray and other approved methods.
• Operate proposed inspection equipment.
• Read and analyze designs/blueprints and identify architect’s intended use.
• Analyze designs for ulterior purposes not intended by the architect.
• Write detailed reports in English and complete analyses for staff action.
• Maintain daily logs during duty periods.
• Other duties of similar scope as assigned.
