Job summary

Drees Homes in Dallas East Division is seeking a Construction Superintendent Trainee to learn under an experienced supervisor and assist in communities with high-volume construction. The program exposes Trainees to every facet of the process from customer plan signing through the first year of warranty.

Candidates typically have a 2–4 year degree in Construction Management or related field and 2–4 years of construction-related experience (internships welcome).

Qualifications

• Requires 2–4 year college degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 2–4 years construction-related experience preferred (internship, short-term position, or similar).
• Experience using an iPad is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee progress and quality of all jobs under construction.
• Set and maintain high standards with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Control costs by managing material usage.
• Answer customer questions about the building process.
• Participate in subdivision and model maintenance.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
• Create framing, mechanical and insulation punch lists.
• Use internal software to show job progress.
• Other duties as necessary.
