OSM Thome Limited is seeking a Shift Supervisor to join an offshore pipe-laying vessel operating in Brazil. You will lead deck construction activities, coordinate marine and project teams, and ensure safe, efficient pipe-laying operations offshore.

Responsibilities include supervising deck crews, monitoring progress, maintaining safety standards, and reporting to offshore management. Must have offshore construction experience and valid safety certifications, with strong English communication

Qualifications

• Offshore construction or pipe-laying experience required.
• Supervisory experience onboard offshore vessels or barges.
• Knowledge of deck equipment, lifting operations and marine safety practices.
• Valid offshore safety certificates (BOSIET/FOET or equivalent) and medical fitness.
• Good English communication skills, spoken and written.

Join OSM Thome as a Shift Supervisor onboard an offshore pipe-laying vessel in Brazil. In this role, you will lead deck construction activities, coordinate with marine and project teams, and help ensure safe and efficient pipe-laying operations offshore.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all construction and pipe-laying activities on deck
• Lead and guide deck crews to work safely and efficiently
• Monitor work progress and quality against project plans and procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, permits to work, and toolbox talks
• Report daily activities, work status, and any issues to the offshore management team
• Support planning of work sequences, equipment use, and material handling

Requirements:

• Proven offshore experience in construction and/or pipe-laying operations
• Previous experience in a supervisory role onboard offshore vessels or barges
• Strong knowledge of deck equipment, lifting operations, and marine safety practices
• Valid offshore certificates (BOSIET/FOET or equivalent) and medical fitness
• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
• Ability to lead multicultural crews and work in a rotation offshore
