Job summary

Grand Portage Trading Post seeks a Construction Supervisor to oversee crews on buildings, roads, and utility projects at Grand Portage RTC Properties. The role requires reading blueprints, budgeting, and coordinating with safety officers.

You will manage invoices and project estimates, plan capital budgets, and ensure compliance with RTC insurance and licensing.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Operate heavy equipment and hold a valid CDL license; be insurable with RTC auto insurance.
• Supervisory skills and experience are an asset.
• Background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct activities of workers on construction projects.
• Process monthly invoices and estimate project costs.
• Plan and implement capital budgeting for projects.
• Coordinate with Safety Officer on safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Must be able to process the monthly invoices, estimate different projects that are encountered; including planning and implement capital budgeting. Work with Safety Officer for all safety concerns that occur during construction, and any other job related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).
