Hodge Western Corp. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead renewable energy and heavy civil projects nationwide.

You will oversee on-site operations, coordinate with owners and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence. This role requires 3+ years in the field, a construction management background, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as Construction Superintendent in renewable energy or heavy civil.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; PMP/OSHA a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities; able to work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Travel to project sites on a full-time basis.
• Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site and meet specs.
• Develop relationships with owners, clients, vendors, and stakeholders; provide regular updates.
• Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors; ensure safety and compliance.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct site inspections, and address hazards.
• Monitor quality and adherence to plans; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain field reporting including daily reports, logs, and extra work orders.
• Inspect equipment daily and report needed repairs to management.
• Track quantities for scheduling, records, and billing.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage our projects in the Renewable Energy sector, particularly utility scale solar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully executing complex projects on time and within budget. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating all site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication between stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Full-time travel position to various project sites.
• Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is performed efficiently and meets project specifications.
• Develop and maintain owner, service, and vendor relationships. Act as the primary point of contact between the company, clients, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and any issues or concerns.
• Supervise and direct on-site personnel, including operators, laborers, subcontractors and vendors. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards promptly.
• Monitor work quality and adherence to project plans and specifications. Implement corrective actions as needed to address deficiencies.
• Maintain and ensure consistent and accurate field reporting including daily reports, extra work orders, safety logs, and incident reports. Be able to identify and track additional work beyond scope.
• Inspect all equipment onsite daily and report to management with needed repairs.
• Track project quantities for scheduling, record keeping and billing in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on renewable energy or heavy civil projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA) are a plus.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Conduct self in a way that represents the company in a safe and professional manner.
• Ability to work 8-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week.
• Computer proficient with Microsoft Office program suite and web-based construction management programs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $200,000 based on experience
• 100% Company-paid Medical Insurance for you and your family.
• Four-week annual PTO; 40 hours of annual Sick Time
