Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent for the Honolulu, HI project to lead field teams and coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.

You will ensure schedules, installation, and testing requirements are met while maintaining safety and quality standards. The position requires 5–10 years of construction management experience on renovation and facility upgrade sites, plus certifications and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction management roles at renovation and facility upgrade sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction contracts and technical drawings.
• Certification in First Aid/CPR and OSHA 30-hour compliant for field work.
• Knowledge of civil, mechanical, structural, electrical trades and controls.

Responsibilities

• Set expectations for Weston personnel and subcontractors regarding schedule, installation, and testing requirements.
• Review project status, produce daily site reports, and coordinate with team, subcontractors, and clients.
• Lead field activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Provide supervision and coordination across multiple trades to meet project deadlines.
• Prepare sections of proposals related to the area of specialty including scope, man-hours, and equipment.
• Assist with risk assessment and mitigation planning on site.

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for setting expectations for Weston personnel and all supporting subcontractors or general contractors with respect to scheduling, installation, and testing requirements. Other responsibilities include project status review, daily site reports, team, subcontractor and client relations, and various other responsibilities as necessary to ensure construction completion and customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 5 yrs to 10 yrs experience in construction management for sites undergoing renovation and facility upgrades. BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management is not required, but would be a plus.
• Ability to fully comprehend construction contract documents and details, along with a solid understanding of construction principals and techniques.
• 1st Aid and CPR certification.
• 30 hr OSHA Construction certification.
• USACE QCM Certification preferred.
• Must have excellent organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word & Excel.
• Knowledge of all construction trades (civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, controls).
• Ability to fill the roles of Superintendent, CQC System Manager and SSHO preferred for added flexibility.
• The job entails physical demands while performing the duties of this job. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. without aid.

Expected Outcomes

• Within his or her specialty, is responsible for various field activities including site management and report preparation of that area of specialty on projects.
• Maintain up-to-date techniques ensuring the credibility of technical assignment.
• Coordinate daily activities with other professionals and field personnel.
• Provide technical supervision and assistance to ensure that project activities are technically valid, and results are coordinated for added continuity and control.
• Prepare the sections of proposals relating to his or her area of specialty with regard to scope, man-hours, and equipment needed.
• Be familiar with potential hazards (safety and health) associated with project activities and advise manager of construction of procedures to mitigate.
• Acting as a working leader, serves to coordinate all technical activities in an efficient manner to ensure that the project requirements and deadlines are met.
• Act as liaison with other professionals and field personnel to accomplish the efficient and smooth implementation of project and site directives.
• The Construction Superintendent will serve as leader of the field teams and be capable of assisting the team in completing the required tasks. All field operations, timetables, field budgets are under his/her control.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $81,549 - $107,791 - $133,824
