We are currently hiring a Site Superintendent for exterior work within the Portland Metro/Vancouver area. Full Time 40+ hours per week. Competitive pay starting at $38+ per hour!
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct subcontractors across multiple trades including (Concrete, Roofing, Framing, Flooring)
- Experience working on complex projects and commercial building sites within City of Portland compliance and restrictions.
- Prior experience working with building consultants, owner reps, and green building codes (LEED) essential
- Be prepared to outline in detail past jobs/projects that represent your experience in handling complexity.
- Answer client questions and concerns.
- Order materials & supplies
- Ensure safety and PPE is being followed by all crew and subcontractors
- Understand budgets weekly and relay to crew as necessary
- Inform PM of any needed scope or value changes
- Call for inspections. Interface with inspectors, clients, and site visitors.
- Keep daily job logs as directed
- Accurately track crew & subcontractor time
- Ensure ALL equipment (including but not limited to Summit owned, subcontractor owned, and rental) is safe and functional.
- Open & close job site
- Submit weekly paperwork including but not limited to: credit card & account receipts, subcontractor timecards, safety meetings, project schedule & plan, photo chip card, budget tracking.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong organizational and time management
- Experience managing crews and subcontractors
- The ability to manage multiple tasks at a time, and track jobs to a budget.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal - Bilingual preferred
- Sage / Timberline software, Microsoft, Google Drive
- General project estimation
- Ability to inspect, repair, install, modify, rebuild, construct, and maintain carpentry services.
- Capable of working effectively amongst diverse teams and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, have a valid license and insurable driving record.
