Job summary

A leading construction firm in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Superintendent to oversee all phases of construction, from ground-breaking through project close-out. The ideal candidate will have experience with medium to large size Commercial General Contractors, strong leadership abilities, and excellent organizational skills. Required qualifications include the ability to read and interpret drawings and knowledge of safety standards. Proficiency with Procore® software is preferred. Bilingual candidates are a plus.

Job description

The Superintendent’s primary role will be to supervise all phases of construction, from ground‑breaking through project close‑out.

Candidate must show strong leadership and organizational skills, have the ability and knowledge to maintain the highest safety standards, and capable of efficiently managing field and inter‑office relationships.

• Knowledge of building requirements, as well as experience with construction methods, technology, equipment, and work procedures.

What you’ll need

• On‑site construction superintendent experience with medium to large size Commercial General Contractor
• Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
• Knowledge of construction safety standards (OSHA certification a plus but not required)
• Proficiency with Procore® construction project management software preferred but not required
• Proficiency with industry practices, processes and standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to communicate with clients
• Strong organization skills, capable of managing multiple projects
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Professional and courteous demeanor and ability to interact with clients
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required
