Job summary

Building and Land Technology (BLT) is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site execution for complex projects in Stamford, CT. You will oversee field operations, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule, and quality standards are met from start through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of superintendent experience, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of MEP coordination and construction methods.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of superintendent experience in construction or equivalent.
• Proven track record in out-of-ground or large-scale residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to direct diverse teams.
• Proficiency with construction technology platforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• OSHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily on-site construction activities from project start through closeout.
• Manage subcontractors, field staff, and trades to ensure adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Oversee installation and coordination of MEP systems and major structural components.
• Monitor project progress, resolve field issues, and proactively address potential delays.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Architects to maintain design and specification compliance.
• Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and quality control checks.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to anticipate issues in the field.
• Maintain detailed daily reports and site documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, permitting requirements, and company standards.

We are seeking a highly experienced Superintendent to join our Construction team.

Position Summary The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing field operations for complex construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in MEP systems and out-of-ground construction, as well as a strong ability to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities for the Superintendent

• Direct and supervise daily on-site construction activities from project start through closeout.
• Manage subcontractors, field staff, and trades to ensure adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Oversee installation and coordination of MEP systems and major structural components.

Qualifications of the Superintendent

• 10-15 years of superintendent experience in construction, with a proven track record inout-of-ground or large scale residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct diverse teams.
• Proficiency with construction technology platforms a plus, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project (not required but preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions on-site.
• OSHA certification preferred.
