Bernard Nickels & Associates seeks a Site Construction Manager to lead renewable energy construction projects from Edwardsville, IL. You will oversee daily administration and technical execution, ensure energy savings delivery, and coordinate with Senior Project Managers on budgeting, quality, and communications.

You will manage customer interfaces, assist design phases, review bids, and monitor schedules and costs while maintaining OSHA safety standards and compliant practices.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of project management experience in electrical, mechanical, or engineering construction.
• Proven focus on renewable energy projects, specifically Photovoltaics (PV).

• Provide daily administrative and technical management for renewable energy construction projects, ensuring energy savings delivery for public and private sector clients.
• Assist Senior Project Managers with budgeting, accounting, quality management, and internal communications.
• Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies, including revenue recognition and project setup; serve as a liaison between the business office and operations.
• Manage direct interfaces with customers, focusing on service, relationship building, and meeting contractual obligations.
• Support engineering teams during the design phase, including scope definition, subcontractor selection, and cost estimation.
• Track project performance and actual expenses against plans to provide accurate completion forecasts.
• Review subcontractor and vendor bids to verify scope, schedule, and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Oversee vendors and site supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Maintain updated project schedules, monitor critical path activities, and provide two-week look-ahead schedules for customer coordination.
• Manage project expenditures, job cost accounting, documentation, approvals, and monthly forecasting.
• Ensure all work complies with industry, customer, and jurisdictional safety standards and codes.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Technical Knowledge: Experience with energy efficiency disciplines (e.g., digital controls, VFDs, high-efficiency motors, central plants, and lighting retrofits).
• Safety & Regulatory: Strong familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction industry codes.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and MS Project.
