Job summary

The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) is seeking a Project Superintendent to oversee ground-up construction projects valued at $10M to $40M+. The ideal candidate will have a background in ground-up construction and lead projects to successful completion.

Base salary is experience-based with annual and project-based bonuses, plus a company vehicle or vehicle allowance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Superintendent on ground-up construction.
• Procore and/or other construction software, plus Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience overseeing multi-million dollar ground-up projects.

Responsibilities

• Interface with inspectors and city/county officials.
• Enforce site safety protocols and lead safety meetings.
• Manage work to conform to contract documents.
• Delegate tasks to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff.
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issues.
• Prepare accurate job and progress reports.
• Responsible for overall project success, including safety, profitability, schedule, and quality.
• Develop schedules and determine sequencing of work. Identify and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
• Provide daily correspondence to the Project Manager related to progress, performance.
• Maintain professional working relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.

Select Responsibilities

• Interface with local jurisdiction inspectors and city and county official


• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct regular safety meeting


• Manage the work performed to ensure it conforms to the contract document


• Delegate tasks to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff


• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issue


• Complete accurate job and progress reports and other related project documentation
