Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Project Superintendent to oversee ground-up construction projects valued at $10M to $40M+. You will manage field teams, ensure safety, schedules, quality, and profitability, while reporting to the Project Manager.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years leading ground-up construction, strong knowledge of Procore and MS Office, and a track record of delivering complex commercial builds on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years as a Project Superintendent overseeing ground-up, new construction projects.
• Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office.
• Experience managing safety protocols and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Interface with inspectors and city/county officials.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct safety meetings.
• Ensure work conforms to contract documents.
• Delegate tasks to field staff and engineers.
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issues.
• Prepare job and progress reports and related documentation.
• Drive overall project success: safety, profitability, schedule & quality.
• Develop schedules and sequencing; implement recovery plans.
• Provide daily progress correspondence to the Project Manager.
• Maintain relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers & Subcontractors.

The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing general construction operations of ground up construction projects valued at $10M to $40M+. The ideal candidate will have a background in ground-up construction, leading and completing projects

Select Responsibilities

• Interface with local jurisdiction inspectors and city and county official
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct regular safety meeting
• Manage the work performed to ensure it conforms to the contract document
• Delegate tasks to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issue
• Complete accurate job and progress reports and other related project documentation
• Responsible for overall project success, including safety, profitability, schedule, and quality
• Develop schedules and determine sequencing of work. Identify and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule
• Provide daily correspondence to the Project Manager related to progress, performance
• Maintain professional working relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractor

• Skilled in Procore and/or other construction-related computer software, as well as Microsoft Office
