Role Description

FSV Construction is seeking a full-time, on-site Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team in the Orlando, FL area. The Superintendent will be responsible for supporting and overseeing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring project schedules, maintaining jobsite documentation, and ensuring work is completed according to plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This position is ideal for a construction professional with at least 1–2 years of relevant field experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility and continue developing as a Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously, ensuring proper sequencing of work and identifying conflicts that could impact the project schedule.
• Review and understand construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Monitor work in progress for quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, subcontractors, and upcoming work.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, jobsite photos, manpower information, delays, and progress documentation.
• Identify field conflicts or potential delays and communicate them promptly to the Project Manager.
• Assist with RFIs, punch lists, inspections, and project closeout.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate project progress to the Project Manager.
• Use FSV's construction management software to document and track project activity.
• Maintain professional communication with subcontractors, inspectors, clients, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant commercial construction field experience, with experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades on active construction projects. Experience limited to supervising a single trade may not meet the requirements of this position.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Foreman, Field Supervisor, or similar construction field role is preferred.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of construction sequencing and project schedules.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Comfortable using computers, mobile applications, and construction management software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work full-time on-site throughout the Orlando/Central Florida area.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Construction-related education or training is a plus.

Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
