Job summary

FINFROCK is seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site activities in Central Florida, including directing field labor, ensuring contract compliance, and coordinating with project teams.

You will manage schedules, safety programs, and client relationships on large commercial projects. OSHA and First Aid/CPR certifications are required, with Prolog and strong reading of drawings a plus.

Qualifications

• Acknowledges at least 5+ years in construction supervision and leadership.
• Comfort with large commercial projects and schedules.
• Familiarity with drawings, specs, contracts and subcontracts.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force.
• Inspect contractor and sub-contractor operations for contract compliance.
• Review and approve payment applications with Project Manager.
• Maintain good relationships with clients, architects, engineers and owners.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan with the PM.
• Conduct quality inspections and coordinate testing.
• Monitor costs including labor time and materials.
• Coordinate with Safety to enforce Health and Safety programs.
• Manage detailed short-term schedules and on-time project activities.
• Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Reports.

FINFROCK is a full-service design-builder specializing in multifamily, parking garages, student housing, and hotels, and has been named one of Orlando’s Top Workplaces. We are seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent to work in Central Florida.

Department: Construction

Location: Orlando

Key Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force including laborers/craft workers.
• Inspect Contractor or (Sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with contract.
• Review and approve sub/trade contractor payment applications with the Project Manager
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including the Architects, Engineers, and Owner/Client representatives.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager.
• Conduct quality inspections.
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
• Monitor costs, including labor time and material.
• Work with the in-house Safety team to communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program to maintain our excellent safety standards.
• Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules, and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
• Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Reports.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• 5+ years of industry experience
• You have experience managing $50M - $100M+ commercial construction projects.
• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
• Junior College or Vocational education preferred.
• OSHA certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Knowledge of Prolog.
• Broad understanding of industry.
• Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
