Job summary

FLC Contracting, LLC is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee all on-site project activities, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality. This role requires a strong commercial construction background and the ability to lead field operations while coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams.

You will maintain daily reports, manage documentation, enforce OSHA policies, review plans, and keep stakeholders informed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience performing material takeoffs and coordinating field resources.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and motivate teams.

• Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to avoid delays.
• Maintain detailed daily reports, schedules, and field records.

General Description

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site project activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a Superintendent with strong commercial construction experience who can perform daily construction tasks as needed while leading field operations.

The Superintendent oversees subcontractors, coordinates with internal teams, and maintains clear communication with all project stakeholders. This position plays a key role in driving projects forward and ensuring all work is completed with exceptional quality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience performing material takeoffs and coordinating field resources.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and motivate teams.
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel to project sites within a 4-hour radius of Ocala (home on weekends).
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety best practices.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Experience with ground-up construction and interior renovations preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
• Ability to complete and maintain daily reports, logs, and field documentation.
