Job summary

System One is seeking a Construction Superintendent in Jamacia, NY to lead daily field activities on power generation sites, manage crews and vendors, and uphold strict safety standards. Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Type: 6 month Contract

Compensation: $85-90/hr

Per Diem: $329/day

Responsibilities

• Site Management: Direct daily field activities, crews, and vendors on power generation construction sites.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict OSHA and company safety standards, conducting site audits and safety meetings.
• Schedule & Budget Control: Track project milestones, review construction drawings, and ensure work aligns with timelines and budgets.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect workmanship and manage deficiency corrections with contractors.
• Communication: Act as the primary liaison between field personnel, project managers, and engineers.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of heavy industrial or power plant construction supervision.
• Education: High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and design schematics, plus proficiency in project management software.
