ResourceTek is the Human Capital subsidiary of an ENR ranked, multi-discipline Engineering firm providing technical services to industry and government in all areas of Engineering, Information Technology, and a broad range of other technical disciplines.
We are currently seeking two experienced Construction Superintendents or Field Engineers to support our aerospace manufacturing client near Hancock County, Mississippi. Qualified candidates should have at least five years of construction supervision experience.
These are fast-paced, three-month contract positions, with the potential for future opportunities following project completion. The site operates 24 hours a day, and two positions are available: one for the day shift and one for the evening shift.
The anticipated schedule is 12 hours per day, six days per week. Overtime will be paid for all hours worked over 40 per week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Direct supervision of subcontractors performing complex construction activities at the testing site
- Daily coordination of construction operations, labor allocation, and equipment utilization
- Implementation of quality control measures ensuring all work meets client standards and construction documents
- Enforcement of site safety protocols in compliance with aerospace industry requirements
- Daily monitoring of construction progress against project schedule with proactive issue resolution
- Technical review of construction methodologies for specialized engine testing infrastructure
- Collaboration with client engineering teams on field issues related to testing site infrastructure
- Maintenance of detailed daily logs, progress reports, and construction documentation
- Field-level problem identification and resolution to maintain schedule and budget integrity
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or suitable experience with similar project scope and scale
- 5+ years of experience in construction supervision.
- Demonstrated experience supervising construction of complex structures and mechanical systems
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents and engineering drawings
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Capable of walking, climbing, and navigating active construction sites
- May require lifting up to 25 pounds
- May require extended hours during critical construction phases
- May require participation in shift operations
- Heavy structural and mechanical background
Preferred Qualifications but not required:
- Prior experience in aerospace, power generation, or similar industrial facilities
- Lead construction superintendent on projects of similar scope and scale
- Experience with launch pad, test stand, or similar specialized infrastructure construction
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and requirements
- Experience in remote or logistically challenging construction environments
- Understanding of cryogenic systems, high-pressure piping, or specialized aerospace infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills
