Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation in Greenville, SC is seeking a Project Superintendent for ground-up construction projects valued at $30M+. The role requires leading field teams and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

You will interface with inspectors, manage schedules, and coordinate with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors. A minimum of 7 years in a similar role and proficiency with Procore and MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years as a Project Superintendent overseeing ground-up, new construction projects.
• Experience with Procore and Microsoft Office and related construction software.
• Strong leadership and scheduling, safety, and quality management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Interface with inspectors and city/county officials
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct safety meetings
• Manage work to conform to contract documents
• Delegate tasks to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other staff
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issues
• Complete accurate job and progress reports and related documentation
• Ensure overall project success including safety, profitability, schedule, and quality
• Develop schedules and sequencing; identify recovery strategies
• Provide daily correspondence to Project Manager on progress and performance
• Maintain professional relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing general construction operations of ground up construction projects valued at $30M+. The ideal candidate will have a background in ground-up construction, leading and completing projects.

Select Responsibilities:

• Interface with local jurisdiction inspectors and city and county officials
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings
• Manage the work performed to ensure it conforms to the contract documents
• Delegate tasks to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issues
• Complete accurate job and progress reports and other related project documentation
• Responsible for overall project success, including safety, profitability, schedule, and quality
• Develop schedules and determine sequencing of work. Identify and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule
• Provide daily correspondence to the Project Manager related to progress, performance
• Maintain professional working relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors
