Job summary

A construction firm based in South Carolina is seeking a Superintendent to oversee general construction operations for projects valued between $20M to $50M. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in ground-up construction and will demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills. Responsibilities include interfacing with local officials, ensuring safety protocols, and managing project success. A competitive salary along with a benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years as a Project Superintendent overseeing ground up, new construction projects.
• Skilled in Procore and/or other construction-related computer software.
• Strong leadership skills required to manage field staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general construction operations of projects valued at $20M to $50M.
• Interface with local jurisdiction inspectors and city officials.
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct safety meetings.
• Delegate tasks to field staff and resolve field issues.
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issues
• Complete accurate job and progress reports and other related project documentation
• Responsible for overall project success, including safety, profitability, schedule, and quality
• Develop schedules and determine sequencing of work. Identify and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule
• Provide daily correspondence to the Project Manager related to progress, performance
• Maintain professional working relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing general construction operations of ground up construction projects valued at $20M to $50M+. The ideal candidate will have a background in ground-up construction, leading and completing projects.

Select Responsibilities

• Interface with local jurisdiction inspectors and city and county officials
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings
• Manage the work performed to ensure it conforms to the contract documents
• Delegate tasks to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issues
• Complete accurate job and progress reports and other related project documentation
• Responsible for overall project success, including safety, profitability, schedule, and quality
• Develop schedules and determine sequencing of work. Identify and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule
